Before my parents basement was finished, there was a hopscotch painted on the floor of the family room. It was nice because I could keep up my killer hopscotch skills even in the dead of winter (pun intended). It was a sad day when the basement was finished and the carpet covered my beloved hopscotch. I still have one of my hoppy taws. I wonder how much I could sell it for on e-bay.

As a side note, it seems like the kids growing up now miss out on the activities we so enjoyed at recess in elementary school: hopscotch, jump rope, dodge ball, jacks, four square, red rover, freeze tag, kissing tag, heads up-seven up, kick soccer, etc. I miss those simple carefree days.

I agree, what a great old school, and how sad it is that money talks and can tear down such a neat building with so much history! (Thank you Larry Miller...) I am sure that they probably do, but I find it hard to believe that the students attending the new Jordan have as much school spirit as we did! I am proud to call myself a Beetdigger! So many good memories!

It was really great to see you Pete. I will never forget the first time I meet you. It was during the first day of Triple Days, and we had finished the morning practice. I was eating lunch on the side of the pit all by myself, and you and Oborn came over to me. You guys sat down, and ate with me. It was tough for me that first day not knowing anyone, and there were lots of kids that were giving me a hard time because I came from Brighton. Joey even gave me a hard time about my big blue cleats (he called them surfboards) in the box jumping line. From that day forward I was always one of the guys, and I will never forget you two for that. You were always a really great friend to me, and I hope I was to you.

I'm glad y'all put up a blog for your class. I haven't had time to do near enough with mine lately. I hope to get recoup some time back soon so I can get going on it again, as our 20-year reunion is around the corner.

I'm so glad to hear that yours was successful. I hope my sis showed up! If not, I'll have to kick her butt.

Pace was awesome!!! I took his class my senior year. Took it under the impression that it would be an easy class. Wasn't easy, but sure was fun. I did manage to get some A's on my projects.
