Goodbye for Now.

This blog has been a fun way to share my memories of High School, amongst other things. But now that the 20 year reunion has come and gone, and we've settled back into our pre-reunion lives, I've decided this is my last blog entry. I'm very easy to find on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, ReverbNation, etc. if you want to reminisce. Memories from Lake Powell.

Most of us spent some time down at Lake Powell after we graduated. What are some of your favorite memories? Many of mine involve friends, girlfriends, fun on the lake, being bored, renting a houseboat, beer and awkward timing.

Name on your Sweatpants.

Why did we put our nicknames on the backside of our sweatpants? Wow. It really hits me as ridiculous. My nickname was the Jock Rocker as I played Football and was also a Rockin' Guitarist. But I can't figure out what was cool about this trend. C'mon everyone, LAUGH, you know you want to.

Converse High Tops.

I remember how cool I thought I was in my Converse High Tops. All I can remember now is how much support they lacked and how stinky they got. Hmm, the memories.

Slap Fights Were Stupid.

Were you ever involved in a slap fight in High School? What a dumb game. Jose Garcia and I reminisced about slap fighting recently. I don't really remember what the point was. I guess if you couldn't fight without getting in trouble that slap fights were the alternative.

Do You Need Work?

Are you out of work? Do you have a friend or family member that's out of work right now? The economy is pretty scary and I believe as Beetdiggers, we should stay connected, network, and help each other if needs be. If you're looking for work, let's brainstorm on the blog about businesses we own, or know of that may need good people. Let's not let someone we know sit at home without work to support their family.

FYI - Music Project

Tom Brand and I have decided to release a CD together and are currently writing and recording the songs. We hope the project will be a cool mix of his vocal stylings and my hyper guitar riffs. We are throwing around names for the project and are open to your suggestions!
